CNC Setup Machinist - Mills or Lathes (Multi-Axis / 5-Axis Training Available)

Join Northeast Tool — an award-winning aerospace manufacturer where precision meets pride. We’re looking for skilled CNC Setup Machinists (Mills or Lathes) ready to take on complex, tight-tolerance parts — or level up into 5-axis and multi-axis machining with hands-on training.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes to produce aerospace-grade components.

• Work with 3- to 5-axis DMG Mori mills (Siemens 840D) or multi-axis lathes (live tooling, sub-spindles, c/y axis).

• Interpret G-code or conversational programs, align fixtures and tooling, and verify dimensions.

• Run first-piece inspections and maintain 5S and safety standards.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure precision and consistency.

What You Bring

• **3+ years CNC machining

  ** experience (mill or lathe setup).

• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and measurement skills.

• Experience holding tolerances within ±0.0002"–0.0005".

• Familiarity with Siemens, Fanuc, or OSP controls (a plus).

• High school diploma or GED.

Even Better

• 5-axis or multi-axis experience (DMG Mori, Grob, Okuma, Makino).

• AS9100 or aerospace shop background.

• Experience with high-temp alloys (Inconel, Monel).

• NIMS or GD&T certifications, or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt+.
