Volunteer Tax Site Leader

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
In terms of compensation, Single Stop offers competitive pay for this role, with an expected range of $24 - $28 per hour. ARE YOU THE VOLUNTEER TAX SITE LEADER WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in the tax preparation field and strong knowledge of personal income taxes as well as tax law knowledge
- Strong communication and organizational skills and self-motivation
- Ability to balance competing priorities and work on multiple tasks, often on a time-sensitive basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Management and/or supervisory experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)

AVERAGE DAY AS A VOLUNTEER TAX SITE LEADER
As a VITA Site Coordinator, your pivotal role ensures smooth tax preparation services. You collaborate closely with the Training Manager to set up the site, manage staff and volunteers, and maintain host-site relations. You oversee adherence to procedures, maintain schedules, and facilitate staff training. Privacy and quality control are vital aspects of your role, including daily return submissions and error correction. You ensure necessary publications, distribute IRS Quality Alerts, and manage post-tax season site closures. Your meticulous attention to detail and organization are essential in providing high-quality tax services while adhering to IRS guidelines.
