Eliada Homes, Inc. is seeking After School and/or Summer Camp Group Leads who will directly and indirectly impact the lives and needs of our students, their families, and our community. Full-Time and Part-Time options are available. Seasonal only positions are available. Under the direction of the School Age Program Coordinator, Summer Camp Group Leads are tasked with the safety and supervision of school age students and campers while creating an exciting recreational, educational, and social schedule for campers to enjoy each day!
Department: Child Development
Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Pay Rate: $15.00+ / hour
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures that a child’s physical, emotional, and educational needs are met through: visual supervision and observation of the group; one-on-one interactions with individual children; regular communication with parents, care-givers and other staff; and working with parents and support agencies to devise individual education plans for children with special needs.
- Writes and implements daily/weekly plan for children in the classroom.
- Ensures that necessary classroom records and documentation are kept current, organized, on file, and posted.
- Ensures, through communication with administrative staff, that licensing, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the classroom.
- Provides leadership by acting as a positive role model for assistant group leader and creates professional climate for carrying out the daily operations of the classroom.
Qualifications:
Must have 7 clock hours of school age program training. Eliada Homes, Inc. will provide this training upon hire. High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years of age; at least one year’s experience in a licensed school age program/camp setting is preferred.
