Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ED RN experience required License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: General ED skillset including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, vent management, chest tubes, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, and ESI assessments Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The candidate will work in a 16-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5, based on acuity. The patient population includes pediatric and adult patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, chest pain, myocardial infarction, stroke, and minor trauma. The ideal candidate must possess a strong general ED skill set and be able to manage critical care situations effectively. Support within the department includes CNA assistance, charge nurse oversight, and 24/7 availability of the hospitalist and ED physician team. The department utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and employs Phillips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing. Travelers should expect to float as needed to various facilities within the designated region, in accordance with their scope of practice. Weekend rotation is required every other weekend, and travelers will work a higher percentage of holidays. Request time off of up to 6 days may be approved, excluding holidays, with potential adjustments to the contract end date if necessary. The uniform color required is navy. About Cynet Health
