    • Unit: NICU
    • Beds: 53 + overflow
    • Average Census: 58
    • Experience Required: 2 years of strong Level III and/or Level IV NICU experience
    • Environment: High-acuity, fast-paced
    • First-Time Travelers: Manager approval required based on current staffing needs

    Orientation

    • New Employee Orientation (NEO)
    • 2 Days Department Orientation

    Scheduling

    Weekend Rotation

    • Required to work:
      • 2 Fridays
      • 2 Mondays
      • Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
    • Based on a 6-week schedule
    • Required shifts may be grouped together or worked separately, as long as all 8 required shifts occur within the 6-week schedule.

    Call

    • No call required for travelers.
    • If NICU census is low, travelers may float to similar pediatric units.

    Holiday Expectations

    • Travelers work holidays as scheduled.
    • Expected to work:
      • Holiday
      • Holiday Eve and/or Day After Holiday
      • Every other holiday during the contract

    Requested Time Off (RTO)

    • Manager approval required.
    • Significant RTO requests may require extending the contract.

    Shift Times

    • Days: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
    • Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

    Schedule Cycle

    • Every 6 weeks based on unit needs.
    • Clinical Supervisor provides scheduling dates.
