Step into a rewarding teaching role supporting middle school students as a Math teacher for grades 7 and 8. This contract opportunity is fully onsite, providing you with the chance to make a direct impact as you guide students through essential mathematics concepts. Based near Burlington and Saxapahaw, NC, this full-time position is ideal for passionate educators eager to shape young minds during their formative years.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in General Education with a Math endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience teaching middle school math (grades 7–8 strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with current curriculum standards and student assessment
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and effective math instruction to 7th and 8th grade students in accordance with school standards
- Develop and implement lesson plans that engage students and promote critical thinking
- Create a supportive classroom culture that encourages student participation and growth
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support as needed
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning and school initiatives
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and other school activities
