Job Overview: Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Has basic training in an operational process area. Works within clearly defined SOPs and adheres to quality guidelines. Works with a high degree of supervision and has minimal discretion.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manually packages kits
- Performs cleaning functions
- Tests/Inspects parts for in-process quality checks
- Trains others
- Accurately completes paperwork
- Pulls raw material for orders
- Feeds raw material on production line
- Clears some common machine faults
- Performs some set up and start up tasks for the machine
- Performs some shut down tasks for the machine
- Offers some input for Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs some controls and adjustments for machine settings
- Demonstrates the ability to follow and document in established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
- Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
- Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- High School degree required with 1 year manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to do repetitive motion
- Ability to effectively work in a team setting and communicate effectively across the departments. Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to be punctual in order to ensure production, work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification.
- Must be proficient in English, reading, writing, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic.
- Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and use of a Windows environment is required.
