**Job Title: Shop Laborer** **Job Description** Join our team as a Shop Laborer in a dynamic environment where metals are processed for various industries including automotive, aviation and various industries. We are looking for an individual who is adaptable and can transition between different tasks within the warehouse. **Responsibilities** + Grab parts, pull materials, and skid/tag items for processing. + Package and sew corrugated boxes for metal sheets. + Follow work orders accurately including parts, patterns, sheet sizes, and quantities. + Maintain metrics like inventory turns and ensure safety compliance. + Operate forklifts for material movement with the opportunity for recertification. + Train to use tools and equipment such as shear saws, grinders, and the local pickup truck for deliveries. **Essential Skills** + General labor experience. + Production and material handling expertise. + Forklift operation proficiency. + Ability to handle heavy lifting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and grinders. + Deburring, inventory management, packing, and mechanical skills. + Knowledge of metals and packaging. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a supportive work culture with a focus on stability, growth, and skill development. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, gloves, glasses, and hard hats will be provided as needed. The attire is casual with jeans or work pants required. Join a small, close-knit team of five experienced employees, each with several years of tenure. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
