Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (2 North)
• Shift: Night shifts, 4x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 call-offs per assignment
• Floating: May float within hospital or to sister campus as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Must pass EKG exam (no exceptions)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled
• Travel nurses must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
• Return staff must have a minimum 1-year break in service
• System has a 2-contract limit (eligible for one extension only)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including behavioral health cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry/EKG readings for patient safety
• Accurately document patient care and assessments in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to similar nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
• Complete orientation and all required modules prior to assignment start
