Position Summary
A task crew member is responsible for performing and completing a multitude of general labor tasks throughout the greenhouse under the direct supervision of their Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining quality standards, maintaining productivity goals, and ensuring the work area remains safe at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Pulling lines of recycle to the recycle areas from the dock area
Identify various trays and pots, and stage them in their proper location
Operate and use the compactor to bale cardboard and shrink-wrap
Maintain a safe work environment
Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to work and communicate across multiple departments
Ability to multitask and be a team player
Ability to use a pallet jack to move full pallets or recycle material
Ability to work in various types of weather conditions
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and seek solutions to problems
Ability to follow directions and perform tasks to company standards
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the recycling process
Knowledge of inventory process
Job Setting & Physical Demands
This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. There are occasional needs to work in confined spaces. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to operating the table lifter and get certified and operate on internal vehicles.
Employee must have the ability to life 35 pounds unaided, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
