CNC Setup

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for an experienced full-time Press Operator to work in our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Production Supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assist production in maintaining process control and problem prevention.

Accurately observe, measure, and record product/processing to ensure product quality.

Provide active input and implementation for continuous process improvement and scrap reduction.

Develop and perform rework operations for discrepant material

Effectively communicate job-related information/machine problems.

Work with maintenance and/or OEM service to repair or install equipment

Maintain a clean, organized work area

Work with and assist other areas.

Support production demands through a full range of requirements when necessary (PMs, Run machines, Repairs, etc.).

Perform other duties as required.

Assisted in and helped set up processing for new products and qualification new equipment.

Qualifications

Ability to read and write.Must be able to comprehend procedures, process documents, and work instructions.

Must be able to write sufficiently to document the process

Ability to do basic math with fractions and decimals

Exhibit good troubleshooting skills.

Exhibit Good mechanical ability.

Use and understand appropriate computer functions.

Understand and apply SPC fundamentals.

Use precision measuring equipment, methods, techniques, record and interpret results

Knowledgeable of basic P / M processes and equipment.

Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.

Exhibit positive team behaviors.

The base salary range for this position is $18/hour to $22.00/hour.​

Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
