UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The University Development Office (UDO), specifically the Schools and Units team, will partner with academic leaders and unit directors to create a community of fundraising professionals who collaborate to achieve the best possible results for their unit and the university as a whole. Deans and directors will continue to set fundraising priorities, and a UDO team leader (Assistant Vice Chancellor) will manage the unit's chief development officer in executing fundraising goals and supervision of their team. The Schools and Units Lead Administrative Coordinator will report to an Assistant Vice Chancellor on the Schools and Unit team. The Schools and Units Lead Administrative Coordinator will provide comprehensive professional support to the assigned Assistant Vice Chancellor. The duties include administrative support and logistics, travel management, communications, finance/budget management, supervision of support staff, and other duties as assigned. The position will perform an extensive range of highly visible activities such as communication with various university and external constituents at multiple levels. The Schools and Units Lead Administrative Coordinator is responsible for independent problem solving, answering questions, providing information, and taking action on behalf of the assigned Assistant Vice Chancellor and others as authorized. This position must analyze, prioritize, and keep track of multiple pieces of complex and often confidential information in order to make accurate, efficient recommendations regarding workflow, and provide facilitation and processing of information and verbal and written correspondence. The individual must facilitate completion of work at a rapid pace on time-sensitive matters with routine interruptions. All of the above must be done with minimal errors and utmost professionalism in an office whose priorities must adapt to evolving needs and demands from within the University and with strategic partners. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a high paced, complex environment. Understanding and awareness of program services, policies, office protocols, professional practices and applicable laws/regulations. Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize work amidst multiple demands and meet deadlines. Flexible, collaborative, yet able to work effectively with a high degree of independence. Demonstrated knowledge of such software/programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook calendar. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Experience in a higher education and administrative environment preferred.
