JOB OVERVIEW:

• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Pain Management Clinic)
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only (No Call)
• Coverage Period: 11/12/2025 – 13 weeks
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Tues – Thu, 8:00a – 5:00p (3 days/week)

• 11/12/2025 – 13 weeks

PATIENT INFORMATION:

• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 20 patients/day.
• Case Mix: Pain management patients (chronic and acute).

FACILITY INFORMATION:

• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard clinical equipment.
• Specialty Backup Available: Physician onsite Fridays.
• Support Staff Available: Nursing and administrative staff.
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage.

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:

• Pain medicine interventions including injections and neuromodulation.
• Follow-up care and medication management.
• Development of additional treatment plans.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active North Carolina license (Required).
• Board: Board Certified in Pain Management.
• DEA: Active DEA Certification (Required).
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (Required).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Pain Management.
• Other Qualifications: Training and support provided by onsite physician.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clinical pain management services including evaluations, follow-ups, and medication management.
• Perform pain medicine interventions such as injections and neuromodulation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for chronic and acute pain patients.
• Collaborate with onsite physician for training and guidance on advanced pain management techniques.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic EMR system.
