Tower Maintenance Technician Missionary

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Role Summary: Our Global Technical team is looking for a missionary to serve as a Tower Maintenance Technician to properly maintain antenna systems and other equipment needed to operate a radio broadcast transmitting site.

Responsibilities:

Monitor condition of antenna and related systems for deterioration or other threats

Instruct tower workers in safety and proper execution of the job

Inspect all safety equipment and supplies/tools for each tower job

Maintain inventory and assist with re-supply

Work irregular hours when repairs are needed or night shifts

Desirable Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree in engineering. Associate’s accepted, Bachelor’s preferred

Knowledge of tower structures, support systems, standard rigging practices and metal structure maintenance

Practical experience or knowledge in several of these areas: air conditioning, mechanical, auto/diesel, electrical, painting, roofing, and related areas
