CT Technologist
Euola seeking CT Technologists to join our team of radiologic professionals to work at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, NC.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans of the head, neck, spine, chest, extremities, vascular system, and body.
- Independently operate radiographic equipment to conduct a wide range of complex diagnostic exams.
- Conduct Quality Control procedures under supervision, including reject/repeat image analysis and verification of lead aprons and gloves.
- Prepare radiographic suites, ensuring all sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and necessary equipment are readily available.
- Prepare and administer contrast materials orally, via enema, or intravenously under direct supervision of a radiologist.
- Complete related clerical tasks such as sending images to PACS, archiving and post-processing images, and editing case requests and reports.
- Maintain accurate records and enter patient information using the Radiology Vista Package and CPRS.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff, following ALARA principles and utilizing protective equipment appropriately. Wear film badges to comply with radiation regulations.
- Interview patients to obtain relevant medical history and medication usage, explain procedures, and provide clear instructions.
- Accurately identify patients according to VA policy, confirm orders, correctly label images, and use appropriate left/right markers to prevent misidentification.
- Identify and report system errors, collaborating with the Supervisor, Assistant Chief Tech, and BioMed department to ensure timely equipment maintenance and service.
- Maintain electronic records and files of all examinations performed.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Must have a current and valid ARRT certification in Computed Tomography.
- Active BLS Certification
- Must have demonstrated experience starting Intravenous (IV) and performing contrast injections.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Provide proof of Health Records as required
Schedule - Shifts are scheduled seven days a week, including day, evening, night, eight, ten-, and twelve-hour shifts.
