Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Winston Salem, NC 27103 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Leading medical center, 24-bed Med/Surg Telemetry overflow unit
• Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (September 22, 2025 – January 19, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours/week, overtime after 48 hours)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660–$1700
• Float Requirement: Yes, to sister units as needed
• Unit Orientation: 36 hours
• Scrubs: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (no first-time travelers)
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand at start)
• BCLS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to float to sister units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adults in a Med/Surg Telemetry overflow unit
• Monitor and treat dysrhythmias; telemetry monitored by tech on another unit
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6-7, with CNA support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, and Transportation
• Utilize Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR systems for patient care and clinical documentation
• Float to sister units as required based on census and skill set
• Participate in hospital orientation and complete required modules before starting
