The Butterfly Garden Child Development Center

Our Garden is in FULL BLOOM with Caterpillars & Butterflies who need Gardeners to like you to care for them!

Our little Garden of Butterflies is nestled at the entrance to the Idlewild South community of Ware Road in Southeast Charlotte, NC.

The Children are our Caterpillars & Butterflies! We are a Nature, Nurture, and Faith based program with an introduction to Environmentalism by teaching the 3 R's by example in projects and school recycling.

We focus on the letters in Red of Jesus in the Bible, not Christian doctrine. All are LOVED. ALL are WELCOME!

• Lead Classroom of Mixed-Age 1's and young 2's "Potty Training", with Compassion & Care while having Fun.
• Create and Implement Creative Curriculum DAP Lesson Plans using the BrightWheel program.
• Observe and Document Child Development using the BrightWheel program.
• Engage with the Butterflies on their level with Reading, Song, and Finger Plays for Learning Objectives.
• Introduce them to "Circle Time" and Caring for the Classroom while engaging in positive redirection.
• Clear and Positive Spoken and Written Communication Skills with Parents, Children, and Team.
• Maintain a Clean and Organized classroom using "Best Practices" to comply with DHHS, and Sanitation Regulations for NC Childcare Center.
• Continue with Professional Development through College Coursework, or Qualified Early Childhood Workshops.
• Capture spontaneous, Hands-On Learning Experiences with the Butterflies Outside in Nature Learning.

• Current NC Criminal Background Qualification Letter
• Current NC Childcare Medical Exam & TB Test
• NC Early Childhood Credentials (Introduction to Childcare College Couse)
• Child & Pediatric CPR & FA Certificate (within 90 days)
• Be able to physically perform the requirements of Lifting, Walking, Running, Bending and Squatting to care for the Children.

• Early Childhood Education Associate's Degree or NC Certificate of Early Childhood Development
• Bi-Lingual
