What They Do: Our client offers an end-to-end operating system for public agencies to communicate, listen, and make informed decisions. As an all-in-one engagement and communications platform, their mission is to connect government agencies with the communities they serve and facilitate equitable participation and representative data.

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an Account Manager who is focused on driving expansion revenue and strengthening long-term customer relationships. The Account Manager will specialize in upsell, cross-sell, and land-and-expand motions inside our client's existing customer base. You will work in close partnership with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to scale best practices from both functions, ensure smooth handoffs from new sales, and drive growth across mature, long-term relationships.

This is a fully remote role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own expansion pipeline and quota: identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, build a repeatable expansion motion, and carry a quota for expansion ARR.
  • Run discovery and demos. Perform targeted discovery with existing customers to uncover additional needs, and craft tailored expansion proposals.
  • Support renewals and retention: work closely with CSMs during renewal conversations to ensure expansion opportunities are surfaced and captured.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce; meet activity and stage-exit expectations and report on expansion metrics and trends.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3+ years of proven experience in account management, or expansion sales within SaaS, preferably with a track record of upsell and cross-sell success.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders inside complex organizations and a record of multi-threaded engagement.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM, and comfortable managing pipeline, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Experience navigating procurement, contract addenda, and pricing approval processes. Experience in GovTech or local government customers is highly desirable.
  • Consultative, relationship-driven approach: you earn trust and advocacy from customers and internal partners.
  • Coachability and a growth mindset; you iterate and improve your approach using feedback loops.
  • Self-motivated and organized; you can run independent expansion motions while coordinating cross-functional resources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can craft compelling business cases and lead executive conversations.
