Schedule:

• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• No on-call requirements for travelers
• Expect to work 75% of holidays

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 18 months recent PCU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in critical care drip management (e.g., insulin, nitroglycerin, Cardene, amiodarone, heparin, blood products)
• Strong PCU skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube management, IV starts, NGT placement, drain/tube care, and PCA pump proficiency
• Experience caring for patients with stroke, heart failure, chest pain, respiratory or GI illnesses, and more

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to PCU/stepdown patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms directly
• Manage complex medication drips and perform a variety of advanced nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, resource nurses, CNAs, and respiratory therapists
• Float as needed within the Union region and qualified facilities, with on-the-clock pay for intra-shift travel
