Support Staff

Acme Food & Beverage Co is looking for hosts, bussers, and food runners to join our team.

Shifts start at 5pm and end by 9pm (Brunch shifts start at 9:30am)

Availability on weekends and specifically on Sundays are a must.

Commitment: Part-time dinner and weekend brunch Support staff

Reports to: Management Team

Location: Acme Food & Beverage Co (Carrboro, NC)

Since 1998 Acme has been serving damn good Southern American cuisine, signature cocktails, fine wines, and craft beers in the heart of historic downtown Carrboro. Acme draws inspiration from seasonal, local ingredients to create Southern American dishes in a fine dining setting.

Bussers - $12 per hour plus tipout from servers/bartenders

Hosts - $15+ per hour depending on experience

• The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure
• A warm, compassionate, enthusiastic team approach
• Food safety knowledge
• Unwavering integrity - doing the right thing always - using sound judgment even when no one is looking
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule
• Minimum 1 year full-service restaurant experience
• Knowledge (can be learned or experiential) of Southern foodways or an eagerness to research it independently
• Strong communication and listening skills to develop trusting relationships with peers and guests
• Able to work on your feet for at least 6 hours
• Able to safely lift 25 lbs
• Knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails (can teach, but must have a self-motivated desire to learn)
• Maintaining efficiency and grace with a sense of urgency throughout service
• A relentless pursuit of excellent guest experiences through use of technique, positive attitude, hospitality, financial and professional responsibility, and organizational skills.
