• Location: Asheville, NC (28801) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Facility: Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Date: November 23, 2025
• End Date: February 22, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Size: 101 beds
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530-$1640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an ER RN
• Experience in Level II trauma centers, comprehensive stroke centers, or high-volume emergency departments (100,000+ visits/year) preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to float and work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• Commitment to respectful behavior and positive patient experiences

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Operate Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and utilize Cerner documentation systems
• Maintain accurate patient boards and communicate effectively throughout patient visits
• Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
• Follow hospital and unit-specific policies, including dress code (navy scrubs)
• Demonstrate AIDET principles and uphold the hospital’s standards of excellence
