Food truck line cook
Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Food Truck Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in food quality, and works well under pressure. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service. Ensure food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service. Monitor food quality and notify management of any product concerns. Kitchen Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout each shift. Follow all opening, closing, and side work procedures. Assist with daily prep work, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and stocking ingredients. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Properly label, store, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures. Maintain proper food temperatures and handling practices. Keep equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and sanitized at all times. Teamwork & Efficiency Work collaboratively with cashiers, kitchen staff, and management to provide an excellent guest experience. Assist teammates as needed during busy service periods. Maintain a sense of urgency while ensuring food quality and accuracy. Be flexible and willing to perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, or food service experience preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Food truck, quick-service, or high-volume kitchen experience. Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience working with flat-top grills, fryers, and commercial kitchen equipment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
