Job Summary
W e are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technician to join our Inspection/Assembly team. This role is responsible for performing visual inspections, minor finishing, and basic assembly of small molded parts. The Technician will work rotating shifts and must be able to work efficiently and safely while meeting the physical demands of the job. The role also involves data entry into electronic systems, problem-solving, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Job Description
- Perform visual inspection of finished parts to identify attribute defects.
- Conduct minor finishing and basic assembly tasks as required.
- Use basic measurement tools such as rulers, gauges, and other small tools to complete inspection and assembly tasks.
- Input accurate data into the plant’s electronic database systems using HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
- Identify and solve equipment-related problems independently or in collaboration with others.
- Follow standard operating instructions for operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the organization, including hard hat, safety glasses, work gloves, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and long pants.
- Perform routine safety and quality checks on assigned equipment and actively participate in the safety program.
- Support the efficient movement of materials from inspection and assembly lines to the staging area for transfer to the warehouse.
- Complete equipment changeover operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity are maintained.
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate acute visual acuity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Train and mentor other personnel on unit operations within the department.
- This position operates in a factory environment with the requirement to wear PPE at all times.
- Regular exposure to noise and other physical work conditions.
- Rotating shifts with possible overtime to complete tasks as needed.
Skills Required
- Basic functional knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Basic math skills and experience using measurement tools such as rulers and gauges.
- Ability to use small tools such as clippers, scrapers, and Allen wrenches.
- Experience working with HMI and entering data into electronic systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects during inspections
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while performing job tasks.
- Must be able to work in a shift environment and potentially perform overtime as required.
Education
- Have a High School Diploma or GED.
Pay Rate
- $15.50 per hour
