About the Role
We are seeking an experienced estate planning and/or estate administration paralegal to support our estate planning or estate administration practice. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in North Carolina estate law, strong technical skills (Clio preferred), and the ability to take ownership of cases. Leadership experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate with a strong desire to grow.

Estate Planning Paralegal:
-Project Management: Oversee and manage estate planning projects from intake to execution, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on schedule.
-Draft & Prepare Documents - Wills, trusts, POAs, healthcare directives
-Client Intake & Communication - Gather information, maintain contact.
-Funding & Asset Transfers - Assist with trust funding, beneficiary updates.
-Execution & Notarization - Coordinate signings, ensure compliance.

Estate Administration Paralegal:
-Probate & Court Filings - File petitions, inventories, accountings.
-Asset Identification & Distribution - Locate, value, and transfer assets.
-Creditor Claims & Estate Debts - Manage notifications and settlements.
-Estate Tax & Accounting Assistance - Support tax prep and financial tracking.

What We're Looking For
-3+ years of estate planning or administration experience (NC-specific preferred).
-Strong project management skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
-Project-oriented mindset with the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute estate planning matters efficiently.
-Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a client-centered approach.
-Proficiency in MicroSoft Office (Outlook, Work & Excel) and a legal software program (Clio or similar).
-Strong organizational and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
-Desire to grow into a leadership role (if less experienced).
