CVOR RN Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, NC (zip 27401) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Facility Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (Open Heart)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing Contract
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 9, 2025
• End Date: December 9, 2025
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: Required; 30-minute response time (non-negotiable)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470-$2540

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience, including open heart cases
• Ability to scrub open heart procedures (required)
• Travel nursing experience preferred (or open heart OR experience)
• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in North Carolina or compact state
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• Experience with ECMO, LVAD, Impella, and Epic EMR charting system
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Education verification required through third-party
• No local candidates accepted (must reside outside 50-mile radius)

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for open heart surgeries: CABG, valve replacements/repairs (mitral, tricuspid, aortic), aortic dissections, pericardial window, thoracotomies, and VATS
• Assist with advanced cardiac procedures: ECMO, LVAD, Impella, TAVR, balloon pump, minimally invasive valves, and robotic chest cases
• Deliver expert patient care for adults in the CVOR setting
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Respond to call within 30 minutes as required
• Float to other campuses as needed
• Complete required modules and orientation
