Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an exciting contract opportunity serving students at the PreK-5 level! You'll provide vital speech-language pathology support to approximately 35-40 students, collaborating closely with another SLP to meet each child's unique communication needs. This assignment is located in a welcoming school environment where your expertise as an SLP-CCC will make a meaningful difference.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC required)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous experience working in school-based settings with PreK-5 students is strongly preferred
- Confident in conducting evaluations, developing and implementing IEPs, and maintaining thorough documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A collaborative attitude for partnering with staff, students, and families
What You'll Do:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to PreK-5th grade students
- Work in tandem with a fellow SLP to coordinate care and share expertise
- Partner with teachers and support staff to maximize student progress in the classroom
- Engage with caregivers and participate in IEP meetings to ensure comprehensive support for each student
