Med/Surg RN Job Details – Greensboro, NC

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1730 per week
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Greensboro, North Carolina (27401) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Shift: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/2/2025 – End: 12/2/2025)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend/Holiday: Every 3rd weekend, holidays as needed
• Floating: Required between all Cone Health campuses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care rehabilitation or med/surg nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Compliance file due by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• Willingness to float between all Cone Health campuses
• Education verification through a third party required
• No local candidates accepted (must live 50+ miles from facility)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Manage patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Perform medication reconciliation, monitor vital signs, and conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Interpret laboratory results and complete patient health questionnaires
• Provide wound care, dressing changes, and manage feeding tubes and adaptive equipment
• Administer blood products, start IVs, and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and charting
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals and care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and participate in patient safety initiatives
• Float to other units/campuses as required
