The Loan Underwriting Manager I oversees daily underwriting activities, including workflow, turnaround, productivity, escalations and quality monitoring. Location: Hybrid -- Mt Laurel, NJ; Charlotte, NC; or Jacksonville, FL. **Depth & Scope:** + Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required + Supervises daily operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency of workflow and staff + Ensures 48 hour turn time SLA is met + Manages employees in lower complexity lanes + Helps with the selection process, orientation, compensation decisions and performance reviews of staff members + Demonstrates sound judgment conveying departmental policies and procedures + Conducts staff meetings and individual one on one monthly meetings with underwriters + Underwrites and decisions loans that are escalated by their team. + Underwriting authority of $1.5 Million dollars + Performs other duties as may be assigned + Provides exceptional customer service, congruent with WOW!
