Production Support Handler

Job Summary:

The Production Support Handler is responsible for providing material handling, inventory, and data entry support to ensure efficient production operations. This role involves operating a forklift, managing material flow, maintaining accurate inventory records, and updating data in the company’s ERP system (Sage or similar). The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in both warehouse and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between production areas using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and delivered to the correct workstations.
• Perform daily inventory checks and maintain accurate stock levels in the ERP system.
• Record material movements, usage, and adjustments in Sage or other ERP software.
• Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
• Support production by preparing material kits, packaging finished products, and staging items for shipping.
• Monitor material shortages and report discrepancies to the supervisor or purchasing team.
• Use Excel and other computer tools to update production and inventory tracking sheets.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist in receiving and unloading deliveries as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift operation experience required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production support role.
• Knowledge of inventory control and material handling procedures .
• Experience using ERP systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar) .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications .
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
