Field Service Technician
- Work-Life Balance: Primarily on-site support with under 25% travel.
- Influence Design: You will be the "Feedback Conduit" to Engineering, using your field data to drive machine reliability and serviceability.
- High-Tech Environment: Work on cutting-edge equipment used in global manufacturing.
- Providing remote and on-site technical support for industrial furnace systems.
- Troubleshooting Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms (Studio5000, ControlLogix, FactoryTalk).
- Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
- Training customers and in-house technicians on complex system operations.
- Experience: 3-8 years of hands-on PLC troubleshooting in an OEM or capital equipment environment.
- Skills: Expert-level knowledge of VFDs, servos, safety circuits, and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP).
- Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between frustrated customers and internal engineering teams.
- Background: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, but we value equivalent field service experience above all else.

education: High School Responsibilities Technical support: Deliver remote and on-site support across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software; support installation, commissioning, repairs, and upgrades. PLC/HMI: Troubleshoot Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs; analyze I/O and networks; implement low-risk code changes with engineering. Engineering feedback: Capture field data and failure modes; drive DFM/DFR improvements for reliability and serviceability. Root cause & CAPA: Lead or support investigations; implement and verify corrective actions. Customer upgrades: Scope, assess risk, implement, and document customer-driven hardware/software changes. Documentation & training: Create service documentation and troubleshooting tools; support technician and customer training. Safety & compliance: Support NFPA 86 compliance and safety testing practices. Service metrics: Track KPIs to reduce downtime and warranty cost. Travel: <25%; primarily remote support.
