Mobile Material Handling Equipment Technician
LiftOne | A Weisiger Group Company
Nearly a century of family ownership has shaped LiftOne into a trusted partner for keeping America’s supply chain in motion. Rooted in the Weisiger Group legacy, we operate with integrity, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to service.
A Day in This Role
Your morning starts by reviewing your route on a company-issued tablet. You stock your service vehicle, head to a local customer site, and dive into hands-on work—troubleshooting a lift truck that won’t start, performing a safety inspection on an electric unit, or completing scheduled maintenance on a fleet. You close each visit by updating the work order, explaining your findings to the customer, and planning your next stop. Throughout the day, you work independently, think critically, and represent LiftOne with professionalism.
What You’ll Tackle
- Diagnose and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment across power types: gas, diesel, LP, and electric
- Complete preventative maintenance services and comprehensive safety checks
- Record accurate notes, parts, and labor in the work order system and communicate clearly with customers
- Care for your assigned service vehicle, tools, and on-hand parts inventory
- Uphold LiftOne’s standards in every interaction—reliable, respectful, and customer-focused
What You Bring
- 2+ years in material handling or related experience (automotive, diesel, military, or heavy equipment)
- Strength in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting
- Comfort working independently in the field and traveling locally
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Customer-first attitude and positive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with ServiceMax or similar maintenance/work order software preferred
- Safety-first approach, following all company and customer protocols to protect people and equipment
Why LiftOne
- Competitive pay aligned with your experience
- Extensive factory and OEM training to build specialized industry skills
- Company service vehicle, gas card, and uniforms (for field roles)
- Company-provided tablet and phone
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage
- HSA and FSA options
- Access to chiropractic and physical therapy visits through insurance enrollment (subject to plan eligibility and limitations)
- 401(k) with company match
- Company-paid life insurance and short- and long-term disability
- Paid time off, holidays, and personal leave
