Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel / Contract
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Weekend/On-Call: Every 7th weekend; one night secondary call per week
• Hourly Pay Rate: $95/hr
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370–$2,430

Interventional Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience (scrub and circulate)
• Neurointerventional radiology experience (scrub and circulate) required
• Proficient with moderate sedation procedures
• BLS certification (required)
• Vascular OR and Cath Lab experience preferred
• VI Registered Technologist preferred
• Strong clinical skills and a team-oriented, flexible attitude

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of interventional radiology procedures, including dialysis access (Permcaths, fistulagrams), nephrostomy tubes, arteriograms/embolizations, Y-90, G tubes, TIPS, and Inari cases
• Assist with neurointerventional procedures: cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, and vertebroplasties
• Scrub and circulate in both single plane (GE) and biplane (Philips) interventional suites
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team of technologists, nurses, and physicians
• Document procedures using Cerner (Radnet) EMR system
• Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code (hospital-provided scrubs)
