Manufacturing SAP Data Coordinator

The Manufacturing SAP Data Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining SAP Master Data, troubleshooting issues, and supporting cross-departmental use of SAP. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to optimize SAP and EDI integration while ensuring accurate and reliable data within production control processes.

Functions & Essential Duties

SAP Master Data Management

• Design and maintain manufacturing data flows and processes.
• Oversee master data entry, control, and maintenance.
• Ensure data quality and maintain consistency and integrity of master data.
• Investigate BOM and other SAP data for accuracy.

SAP Data Support & Processing

• Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting SAP process across the organization.
• Facilitate quick resolution of system problems and maintain an internal knowledge base for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with offsite SAP support to resolve issues and document changes.
• Provide on-the-spot support for user operational issues and system enhancements.

EDI Integration & Support

• Collaborate with internal departments and external subcontractors to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of EDI-related data and transactions within SAP.
• Serve as a key point of contact to coordinate with third-party consultants and cross-functional teams, supporting EDI change testing in the SAP system

Production Control & Data Accuracy

• Analyze production control data within SAP to ensure accuracy and consistency (e.g., part mastery, supplier profiles, customer EOQ/MOQ).
• Implement improvements to enhance data management within production control processes.
• Support related inventory tracking and data analysis activities to maintain reliable and accurate records.

Training & Documentation

• Develop training materials and conduct SAP training sessions for internal users.
• Document new processes, system changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration & Relationship Management

• Lead cross-departmental meetings to address SAP-related challenges.
• Build and maintain relationships with external consultants and subcontractors for SAP and EDI support.
• Serve as a key coordinator for SAP system improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.

Other Duties

• Track and manage labels from the manufacturing floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks related to data management and reporting.

Education & Experience

• Associate’s degree in business or related field; bachelor’s degree desired; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of ERP data analysis in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with EDI systems and SAP strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based with substantial computer use.
• Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
• Periodic phone interaction with internal/external contacts.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint; experience with Precise (Win shuttle) is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in ERP data analytics, with strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
