This role is vital in ensuring the success of all catering operations, from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to effectively manage catering staff and coordinate day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest standards of service. In addition to overseeing logistics, we're looking for someone with a creative eye who can contribute to the overall design and presentation of social catering events—helping to craft memorable experiences for our clients from start to finish. There are 3 main areas of responsibilities for the Assistant Catering Manager (including but not limited to the following):

Catering

o You will train to be a caterer for both corporate drop offs and social events

o You will be required to fill in for drop off catering and captain events when needed

o You will help with the overall design and presentation of social events

Supervising

o Watch caterers in all aspects of their jobs, including drop offs and social catering; providing constant training

o Ensure the department is running smoothly by delegating tasks to caterers

o Schedule employees to staff events

o Route drop off caterings and assign them to caterers

o Help in the recruitment process of new caterers

o Post all paperwork for caterers

o Ensure all caterers are checked out properly before leaving

o Take necessary actions to guarantee the successful completion of every catering order at Waiters Choice

Department Maintenance

o Manage the catering workforce

o Delegate job duties to caterers

o Assign side work to caterers

o Keep department clean and running efficiently

o Manage company fleet of vans for cleanliness and routine maintenance

Candidate requirements

· HS Diploma

· Experience in the catering industry

· Previous management experience

· Problem solving skills

· Customer service skills

· Team Player

· Open availability Mon-Sat, hours will need to adapt to the needs of the department

· Driver's License

· Reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
