Position Overview

We are seeking a Estimator with experience in heavy civil or geotechnical construction. This is a high-impact role responsible for developing accurate, competitive bids and supporting project success from pre-construction through handoff to operations.

This is not a takeoff-only position—the role requires strong technical judgment, client interaction, and ownership of the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for deep foundation and earth retention systems
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate pricing
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and cost drivers during the bidding process
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop constructible solutions
• Conduct site visits and pre-bid evaluations as needed
• Present proposals and support client discussions and negotiations
• Maintain consistent follow-up on submitted bids to improve win rates
• Ensure smooth handoff of awarded projects to project management teams
• Support change order pricing and post-bid revisions

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in heavy civil or geotechnical construction estimating
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of earth retention, ground improvement, and deep foundation systems
• Experience working with general contractors, engineers, and project owners
• Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel for site visits as required
