Travel RN Job Details – Telemetry Med Surg

• Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801
• Unit: A3 West Med Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/2/2025 – End: 12/2/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Dress Code: Navy or white scrubs (all navy, all white, or white top/navy pants)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1770 - $1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float to other medical-surgical units and ED holding areas as needed
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude

Travel RN Responsibilities – Telemetry Med Surg

• Deliver direct patient care in a 38-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data
• Perform peripheral IV starts, wound care, and dressing changes
• Utilize Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDS, and other clinical equipment
• Document patient care and assessments using Cerner Powerchart EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other medical-surgical units and ED holding areas as required
• Maintain professionalism and compassion in all patient interactions
