This position is a 3rd shift from 9:30m to 6am (staying later if needed)

Opportunity to go permanent after 3 months!

The primary purpose of the Sanitation Technician is to ensure the proper sanitizing of production equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of the process equipment by properly scheduling sanitation technician.
• Ensure adherence to Master Sanitation and Filler Sanitation schedules.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Ability to plate and read micros.
• Safely work with chemicals.
• Maintain records of sanitation-related activities.
• Foster and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain a professional manner when working and communicating with all company personnel.
• Identify recommendations to improve processes.
• Notify a manager when problems arise that cannot be quickly corrected.
• Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
• Perform duties in a manner that promotes efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Position Competencies:

• Understanding of and experience with sanitation requirements, equipment, and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry-standard cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (includes nights/weekends/holidays).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• 1-year related experience in food safety, including manufacturing environments.
• Positive and dependable with the ability to participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
• Problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
• Must be self-motivated, positive, have a high degree of integrity, dependability & participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, and Food Defense Principles
• Understand, speak, read, and write English.
