Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC

- Unit: D2 (2nd Floor, Main Campus)
- Specialty: Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
- Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in progressive care and telemetry nursing
- Telemetry competency required
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience – Cerner preferred
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and step-down patients in a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data; ensure patients are hardwired to bedside monitors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (charge nurse, RNs, CNAs) for patient-centered care
- Manage quick patient turnover and short-stay (24-hour length of stay) cases
- Float to other hospital units as required
- Maintain a positive attitude and compassionate approach, focusing on excellent patient experience
