Join the largest recycling center in the Triangle as a Recycling Sorter . This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that requires sorting recyclable materials on a fast-moving conveyor belt in an industrial setting.

One of the biggest advantages of this role is the opportunity for consistent overtime , with employees typically working 45-55 hours per week . If you're looking for steady work and larger paychecks, this position offers excellent earning potential through overtime hours.

You will be on your feet all day, working around recyclable waste, dust, odors, and debris. The facility can be very hot during the summer months and very cold during the winter months , depending on weather conditions.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Key Duties:

• Sort recyclable materials including cardboard, paper, plastic, and aluminum
• Remove designated materials from the conveyor line
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area
• Assist other departments and team members as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and facility rules

Reqs:

• Ability to stand in one area for up to 10+ hours per shift
• Must have reliable transportation ( facility is not on a bus line )
• Excellent attendance and strong work ethic required
• Steel-toed boots required
• No cell phones or headphones while working
• Must be comfortable handling waste and recyclable materials
• Must be able to work in hot summer temperatures and cold winter conditions

You will work around trash, dust, odors, and recyclable waste throughout your shift.
