Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position specializing in inpatient rehabilitation, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs including CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility (post-stroke, aneurysm, and post-op surgical patients)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required between all health system campuses
• Epic EMR used — experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• Skills required include interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, patient health history and allergy documentation, vital signs, dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure setup, specimen collection (capillary, throat, urine UA clean catch, phlebotomy), and telephone triage
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
