Tax Manager

Calling all Tax Managers!! Our client, located in the Raleigh, NC area, is looking for a sharp, experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing company that values expertise, initiative, and a strong team mindset.

While working as the Tax Manager, you will partner closely with leadership and oversee a variety of responsibilities including:

• Manage and review federal, state, and local tax filings (corporate, partnership, and/or individual as applicable)
• Oversee the tax compliance process, ensuring accuracy and timely filings
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to internal stakeholders
• Identify tax planning opportunities and strategies to minimize risk and maximize savings
• Review and/or prepare tax provisions and assist with financial reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact to the organization
• Mentor and support junior staff, helping to develop the overall tax function

To be considered for this position, you would need:

• 5+ years of tax experience (public accounting preferred)
• BS/BA in Accounting or related field
• CPA highly preferred (or actively pursuing)
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Experience with tax software and ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
