Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop personalized formulations for patients.

• Read and review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, suitability to patient, and potential interaction.

• Counsel patients on side effects, dosage, specific storage needs, and interactions with other medication.

• Help oversee management of chemical inventory

• Prepare and verify sterile and non-sterile compounds according to USP <795> and <797> standards

• Supervise pharmacy technicians in compounding procedures

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NC state pharmacist license (Additional state licenses are a bonus)

• 1-3 years of compounding, hospital, or home infusion experience

• Pharmaceutical calculation expertise in relation to pharmaceutical formulations such as capsules, creams, suppositories, injections

• Knowledge of USP 795, 797, 800

• Knowledge of cGMP a plus

• Knowledge of cGMP a plus

• Knowledge of bio-identical hormones (BHRT), veterinary, and various therapeutic categories with compounding solutions

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed

• PK Software or other compounding software knowledge is a plus.

Schedule:

Full-time position (40 hours/week)

Monday through Friday & 1/2 Saturday per month
