We are looking to hire an experienced Field Mechanic to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment
• Order parts as needed
• Prioritize repairs based on job needs
• Follow supervisor directions
• Travel to work sites in the greater Charlotte area
• Work independently or with fellow field mechanics
• Complete DOT paperwork in a timely manner
• Conduct daily Pre-trip inspection of mechanic’s truck
• Perform regular upkeep of mechanic’s truck
• Account for daily parts invoices
• Create and complete work orders correctly and timely
• Contribute knowledge and ideas to increase productivity
• Continue learning and strengthening skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Works well independently and has a passion to learn
• Good organization skills and follow through
• Alert, focused, and detail oriented
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of safe work practices
• Clean driving record
• Full set of tools for large equipment repair
• Familiar with OEM standards

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of CAT mechanic background

  • Basic knowledge of Cat SIS and ET (training available)

  • Current medical examiners certificate (Card needed)
