Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Winston Salem, NC (27103) – North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1660 - $1700
• Assignment Length: 16-18 weeks (extension possible)
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours (overtime after 48 hours)
• Unit: 2nd GI – Med/Surg Tele (30 beds, 10 Telemetry beds)
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Scrubs: Navy and/or white
• Float Requirement: Float to other Med/Surg units as needed

RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• At least 1 year of prior travel RN experience (no first-time travelers)
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (required by start date)
• BCLS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• IV start skills required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with GI, renal, surgical, and telemetry needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for Telemetry patients
• Initiate and manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, etc.)
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient care coordination
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Participate in rapid response and code situations
• Adhere to unit protocols and hospital policies
