Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (Mission Campus)
• Healthcare Setting: Med Surg Telemetry (A3 West, 38-bed unit)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 25, 2025 – November 24, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,770 - $1,820
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Dress Code: Navy, white, or white top with navy pants; navy or white undershirts permitted

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Strong clinical skills and ability to interpret telemetry rhythms
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, and adaptable to float to other med/surg units or ED holding areas as needed

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on a fast-paced med surg telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms accurately
• Perform peripheral IV starts, wound care, and dressing changes
• Utilize Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, and SCDS devices
• Document patient care using Cerner Powerchart EMR system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to additional medical/surgical units as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
