Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 – North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: Medical/Telemetry (3VPN)
• Employment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,680 - $1,720
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting: Epic EMR experience required
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted shifts guaranteed after 2 call-offs per 13-week assignment

Med/Surg Tele RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float within scope to similar clinical units
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Travel nurses only – locals not accepted within 50 miles of the facility
• Return staff policy: must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• System has a 2-contract limit (can only extend once, then must be gone for 6 months to return)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Epic EMR
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop patient care plans
• Float to similar units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start
