Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Greensboro, NC 27401
- Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/16/2025 – End: 12/16/2025)
- Nursing Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm), including weekends and holidays
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1870
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Charting System: EPIC
- Float/Call: Float required if census is down; call required as needed
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
- Active Registered Nurse license (North Carolina or compact state)
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to pass mandatory EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Clinical skills in blood product administration, chest tubes, colostomy care, CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions, IV/PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis, renal failure, surgical drains, telemetry, rapid response teams, wound care/wound vac
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Education verification through third party required
- No local candidates accepted (must reside outside 50-mile radius)
- Background check with no open cases required
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Manage observation patients, respiratory conditions, medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative and end-of-life care, hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical observation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Float to other nursing units or campuses as needed
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, including punctuality and attendance
