Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Supervisor: Lower Elementary Director

About the Role:

Are you a passionate, student-centered educator with a strong foundation in Montessori principles? Do you believe in nurturing the whole childacademically, socially, and emotionally? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Lower Elementary Lead Teacher (6-9 years old) and become a vital part of our mission to inspire a lifelong love for learning.

As a Lower Elementary Lead Teacher, you will:

• Create & Maintain an Authentic Montessori Classroom Guide students using hands-on, individualized instruction tailored to their development.
• Support Every Learner Observe and assess progress, fostering academic and personal growth.
• Cultivate a Respectful & Engaging Environment Build an inclusive classroom where independence and collaboration thrive.
• Partner with Families Maintain open communication and build strong home-school relationships.
• Collaborate with a Supportive Team Work alongside assistant teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure student success.
• Grow as an Educator Participate in professional development, school events, and Montessori training.

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
• North Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, student-centered approach.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AMS or AMI Montessori Certification in Lower Elementary (6-9).
• Minimum of two years of Montessori teaching experience.
• Experience in apublic or charter Montessori school.
• Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and differentiated instruction.
