Part-Time Family Assistant in Ballantyne for an 8, 12, and 14-Year-Old

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Ballantyne in finding a Part-Time Family Assistant for their family of five, including a 14-year-old boy, a 12-year-old girl, and an 8-year-old boy. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm (20 hours) with flexibility to come in early or stay late.

The best nanny for this family would be positive, organized, flexible, fun, and creative, with the ability to adapt to the family’s ever-changing needs. With three children who each have unique interests and busy extracurricular schedules, the ideal candidate will help balance their calendars and manage daily logistics. Responsibilities include school pick-up and transportation to and from various activities. Their oldest son is active in organized sports, their daughter enjoys drawing, reading, writing, and runs cross country, and their youngest loves playing games and will soon begin an after-school activity. The right candidate will support the children’s interests, oversee their daily chores, and encourage limited device time. The Family Assistant should also be a self-starter who anticipates the needs of the household and remains flexible as schedules shift. During downtime, the Family Assistant will assist with household duties listed below. Mom has a fluid work schedule where she will be in and out of the home. The nanny should be comfortable with this and respect proper work-from-home boundaries.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children

• Picking the children up from the bus stop

• Providing transportation to and from activities

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children inside and outside the home

• Ensured children complete their daily chores

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Family laundry, wash and fold (the children will put their laundry away),

• Children’s meal prep

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing frequently used surfaces

• Keep the common areas tidy

• Picking up after the Family Assistant and children throughout the day

• Running errands and picking up groceries

• Manage the children’s calendar

Pets: The family has a Bernadoodle. The children are responsible for caring for the dog, while the Family Assistant helps ensure they follow through. Occasionally, the Assistant may need to walk the dog if the children are busy with activities.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Legal pay is offered at $27-$30 an hour, depending on experience
