Physical Therapist LTC/SNF – Travel Position

Location: Mount Olive, NC
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Days
Pay: $2,325/week

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Mount Olive, NC, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will assess residents, design personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services aimed at improving mobility, restoring function, and enhancing independence. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, adaptable, and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to determine residents’ functional abilities and therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening, balance training, gait training, and mobility exercises.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy objectives, safety practices, and use of assistive devices.
• Document evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
• Support independence, safety, and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina (or compact license).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate approach with experience supporting geriatric populations.
